Every Tuesday, throughout the year the St Ives Jazz Club (www.stivesjazzclub.com) hosts gigs bringing modern live Jazz to St Ives

Every Thursday - St Ives Farmers' Market 9.30 am - 3.00 pm at The Backpackers, St Ives (just up from Royal Square).

Various dates, throughout the year, see performances at the Kidz R Us Theatre (www.kidzrus.net).

On the last Friday in every Month The Tate runs Late at Tate St Ives from 18:00-21:00, with with music, food and a pay bar in the café until 22.00 (last orders 21.30).

From March to early November, drop-on guided tours of St Ives take place with 'St Ives Now and Then' at 11am Monday and Fridays and 'St Ives in the Frame' 11am Thursdays. Tours meet at the Guildhall, Strret-an-Pol. For more information see www.guidedtoursofstives.co.uk

9:30 am Mayoral Procession from The Guildhall to Venton Ia Well, Porthmeor.
10:30 am - Hurling of the Silver Ball. This old custom will begin on the beach below the Parish Church
11:30 am - Distribution of pennies to children under the age of 7 at The Guildhall steps.
Noon - The person holding the Silver Ball will return it to the Mayor at The Guildhall and will receive a reward of a silver coin.
7:30 pm - Feast Monday Rugby match at Alexandra Road Rugby Football Ground

From 13th to 18th February at St John's Hall, Penzance the Penzance Amateur Operatic Society will be performing Oklahoma. Performances start at 7:30 pm with a Matinee on Saturday 18th at 2:30pm. Tickets from £5 to £7.50 from the box office at St John's Hall (Box Office 01736 363244 open from 4th February 10am - 4pm )

8th May, Helston will celebrate the annual Flora Day. The festival features the Early Morning Dance, Hal-an-Tow, the Children's Dance, the Ancient Furry Dance and Evening Dance.

From 7th-9th June the Royal Cornwall Show (www.royalcornwallshow.org) will include three days of show jumping, best of breed, music, dancing, trade stands, display teams, hot air balloons, ferret racing, forestry demonstrations, steam engines,  beer tents, food of every description and much much more.

The annual St Ives September Festival will take place from 8th-22nd September (www.stivesseptemberfestival.co.uk)  Once again, over a two week period, it will feature a wide and diverse range of events and activities covering all aspects of art and music. There will be talks, films, poetry, jazz, classical, rock and folk music.
